The Farm

Utah Vacation Part 2:
The farm deserves a blog of its own. Jedd's sister, Elise, and her husband Clark own a dairy farm in Gunnison, Utah. This was Jackson's big highlight of the trip. Here's why:

Jackson was able to play with all these tadpoles in various forms turning into frogs. Luckily, he didn't ask to take any home.

He gave a newborn calf her first bottle of milk...

He dug a hole 12 feet deep with a backhoe...

(That really is him driving the backhoe, with some excellent instruction from Clark)

And he drove a tractor (for real). This was Disneyland and Six Flags on steroids!

Madeline was too little to drive the backhoe, so she settled for the 4-wheelers.

The Bown cousins are pretty, fun too. Wish Gunnison was closer to Texas! If there weren't 9 months of pregnancy to recall, I would think that Elise was Madeline's mom. (Haley, Jedd's other sister could equally pass as her mom). At least I know that Madeline will be beautiful when she grows up!

Holly and Tim came up for the night and taught us how to play Bonanza, my new favorite card game. We all met Davis for the first time.
