Honestly, I don't think we could have come up with anything more fun for the kids than 3 hours of negotiating for unneeded toys. My parents gave them each a bag full of change and they had the time of their lives. Madeline was cute, trying desperately to offer a quarter for an item "worth" $5. They didn't budge and neither did she. I think Jackson knows now that "paper moneys" are worth more than "circle moneys".
We came home with a trunk-o-junk that entertained the kids for the next few days - and I honestly think my parents took it all to Good Will after we left. Maybe THEY should have had a garage sale and re-sold it all!
